Nick May is a filmmaker, photographer and visual artist. His 1989, Prix Italia and Flaherty Award nominated Channel Four documentary 'The Hills Are Alive' explored the continuing legacy of Chernobyl from the perspective of West Cumbrian hill farmers, a community which had also lived with the consequences of numerous accidents at the Sellafield nuclear reprocessing plant.

Nick May is known for in-depth engagement, powerful treatments and drawing the best from participants. Recent projects include FOODCHAIN and 'Till the Cows Come Home...'

Ben Holland specialises in video camera work and editing and played a key role in the production of the three recent FOODCHAIN films. Ben has made and contributed to numerous films and is completing a low budget feature film. He also busks on the London Underground and plays gigs around London.

Nicki Bates contributes to the editorial and exhibition work of Stringtheory and runs the fashion design business Nicki B Ltd. She has exhibited widely in the UK and Europe since completing an MA at Central St. Martin's School of Art in 1990.
